Semaglutide dosage: what the research used
This page collects the doses reported in published Semaglutide research and works through the reconstitution maths for common vial sizes. It does not recommend any dose.
Doses used in published research
The Wegovy titration used in the STEP trials, stepping up every four weeks:

Ozempic for type 2 diabetes uses 0.25 mg → 0.5 mg → 1 mg, up to 2 mg weekly. Rybelsus is a daily tablet (3, 7 or 14 mg) taken on an empty stomach.

Handling and storage
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, adding it slowly down the vial wall and swirling rather than shaking — see the reconstitution guide. How much bacteriostatic water for a 5 mg Semaglutide vial?
There is no fixed amount — the volume sets the concentration. Adding 2 mL to a 5 mg vial gives 2.5 mg/mL; 1 mL gives 5 mg/mL, 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL, 3 mL gives 1.667 mg/mL.
How many units is 250 µg of Semaglutide?
At 2.5 mg/mL (5 mg in 2 mL), 250 µg is 0.1 mL, or 10 units on a U-100 syringe. A different water volume changes this — use the calculator above.
